Inspiration to launch.
The domain name AlaCarteCable.com was purchased several years ago as a first step in a business plan with a dream of bringing more freedom of programming choices to the cable and satellite television consumer. Well, alot has changed over those years, and much has stayed the same.
While the business plan has not evolved as hoped over this time, today's AP wire story on Ala Carte Cable marked what may be a tipping point for those trying to make Ala Carte Programming choices a reality.
So today we relaunch AlaCarteCable.com with the mission to gather information, analyze the tradeoffs, and support where it makes economic sense the ultimate goal of letting the consumer pay only for the content we want, when we want, where we want.
Sounds simple enough?
